There's two-too-many in the title, don't you think? And maybe too many Ready 2 Rumble games, too. Round 2 is a slight improvement upon the zany original. "Aside from a few slight changes here and there, the game remains largely unchanged," said Gamespot.
There are new characters, such as Afro Thunder and Boris Knomikov and even secret characters who spring out of nowhere in the midst of the fights. These characters are "sure to get you laughing and ready to come out swinging." At any moment someone like The First Lady (who goes unnamed, presumably to avoid trademark infringement) might pop into the ring, prompting IGN to eulogize on the pleasures of seeing "her face completely swollen and bruised at the end of the match, as all players feature somewhat realistic facial damage during the course of game play."
The controls make it easy to collapse opponents' faces into a bloody mess, but at the expense of any strategic thinking as you do so. For some, this is mighty fun.
