THE REVIEW by Robin Moroney for Gamers Today

If you own a Nintendo and are desperate to fight, fight, fight... I'm afraid you must hold on a little longer, because both IGN and Daily Radar recommended that you buy another console system rather than put up with the mediocrity of Fighter Destiny 2, pretty much the only new fighting game for the N64.

There are "a few new characters," "new arenas," and even a board game that allows you extra fighting moves. There is also what Daily Radar called a "truly original bout system" which involves getting points for getting people out of a square arena. The more original your method of disposal (throwing the person out gets you a measly one point) the more points you get.

Sadly, Fighter Destiny 2 looks little better than Fighter Destiny, which came out three years ago. Daily Radar compared the graphics to "a big old pile of ass" which sounds, and I imagine looks, horrible. The characters involved are poorly drawn, unimaginative and stereotypical (meet D-Dog: "a funky-fresh basketball star") and what improvements there are, according to Daily Radar, are simply "too little, too late."
